Banana blancmange

1. Blend cornflour with a little cold milk.
2. Bring rest of milk to boil.


3. Pour over cornflour, return to pan and thicken, adding sugar.
4. When quite thick, add mashed bananas.
5. Allow to set.
6. Turn out.
7. Pour little jam on top and arrange rings of bananas just before serving.

Ingredients:

1 packet vanilla-flavoured cornflour powder
1 pint milk
1-2 oz. sugar
2 large or 3 small bananas

To decorate:

little raspberry jam
sliced bananas

Cooking time: 10 minutes
