1. Sieve flour and salt, add egg or eggs and enough milk to give sticky consistency.
2. Beat well then gradually add rest of liquid.
3. Add oil last if using this.
Ingredients:
4 oz. flour
pinch salt
1 egg
½ pint milk or milk and water
rich pancake batter:
4 oz. flour
pinch salt
2 eggs
just under ½ pint milk or milk and water
