Halve the kidneys and sausages and rashers of bacon, dust lightly with seasoned flour.
Put the meat etc., and the mushrooms on to 4 skewers.
Leave these all ready, then all the family need do is to put them under a hot grill, turning once or twice until the kidneys are tender.
If wished have rice cooked in a double saucepan, so it does not burn. Moisten this with a little stock or thin soup, and it will keep hot to serve with the kebabs. Put kebabs on to a bed of crisp watercress.
Ingredients:
4 lambs’ kidneys
4 small mushrooms
little flour
cooked rice
4 sausages
2 rashers of bacon
seasoning
stock
or thin soup
Cooking time: 10-15 minutes
